About Me

My story

After becoming somewhat disconnected with my previous career and path I was on and craving a new challenge, I decided to take some time out to reconnect with what was important to me. Having practised Yoga for some years and experienced the many benefits for both my mind and body, I was eager to share this with others and so, I completed my teacher training in 2019.

I have since then gone on to be qualified in Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Parent and Baby Yoga and Restorative. My classes can offer you a fun, positive environment to explore different postures (asanas), create confidence, balance and flexibility.

Classes

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga where movement is linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.

The name itself is a Sanskrit phrase, roughly translated as "to place in a purposeful way," meaning the sequence of movements placed together for a seamless flow. The movements are coordinated with breath, bringing your entire body and mind in sync.

The asanas (yoga poses) in Vinyasa are very fluid, which makes your time on the mat a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and space in both the body and mind.

Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy yoga is suitable for both beginning students and experienced practitioners. During pregnancy, yoga can play a key role in enhancing the experience of this precious time and empowering the mother-to-be to have the most conscious birth experience. Yoga can help women enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, cultivate breath awareness and strengthen the body in preparation for labour. Yoga also offers you the opportunity to connect with your baby, and coming to classes is a great way to feel part of a community of pregnant women.

Classes are adapted to the specific needs of the students so everyone can practise with confidence, ease and comfort. Modifications are offered according to stages of pregnancy, flexibility and strength. Various breathing techniques are taught for different stages of labour – offering aid for pain relief and focus during labour and birthing.
